Review of “Tunnel in the Sky” by Robert Heinlein. As I mentioned in passing a few weeks ago, a friend of mine is hosting a guest from Okinawa, Japan. In this book, as in so many other works of science fiction, Earth is beset by a Malthusian trap. MOFFETT FIELD, Calif., (NASA) – NASA today successfully launched two hypersonic experiments as secondary payloads atop a NASA-built Terrier-Orion two-stage research sounding rocket from NA. But once I got to the shelf, I found “Tunnel in the Sky,” a Heinlein I had not read previously. The DDI Tunnels & Sky Bridges Network Task Force has just released its final report and recommendations. The guest, a young woman, is visiting for 6 weeks. Tunnel In The Sky was my first exposure to Heinlein and the genre in particular. One of his juveniles series, but a good read for all ages. A good solid adventure story of the type Heinlein was famous for. Because of the rapid changes, I stumbled onto the fun—but that doesn't occur in downtown's underground tunnels. As I look back, in my mind anyway, it was a sort of science fiction take on Lord of The Flies.
